Another Blog Award!

Good morning, citizens of Blogland!

Oooh, I just got a funny visual of The Land of Oz, only it was called Blogland! LOL! My sweet friend Leslie, of CA Scrapper  has given me a new blog award and I must admit that I was not familiar with this one, having never seen it before. It's called The Stinkin' Cute Blog Award and I love it because there are no rules or requirements other than to pass it on! I like that because I have about run out of things to tell about myself!

1. I use Copic Alcohol Ink markers and Prismacolor pencils to color the images on my cards.
2. I was married 23 years in a former life.  I miss having a life partner to share things with but I'm happy being single too.
3. I am currently unemployed and looking for a new job.  What a PITA!
4. I spend too much time online.
5. My favorite treat is a Braum's banana split!.
6. My craft budget is non-exisitent since my layoff but I had a nice stash built up before I lost my job so my crafting doesn't suffer much at all.
7. I own 2 Cricut Expressions and a Silhouette SD, none of which have been utilized very much since I discovered Copics!

Cricut-tastic Award

I received two of these awards a day apart!  The first one came  from Dusti at  Scrappin With Cricut and the second one from Erlinda at Stampin' With Erlinda. Two more awesome awards!

Wow!  I can't believe this. I received w more awards this past week. One was another Versatile Blogger Award given to me by the lovely Michelle at {Upsy-Daisy}. Thank you sooo much, Michelle! As with the last one, the rules that apply to this award are that I post it on my blog and thank the person who passed it to me and also to tell 7 things about myself and to pass the award on to 15 other bloggers who I deem to be deserving.

Okay, first the 7 things about myself.  Hmmmm... let me think...

1. I live in the house I grew up in.
2. I have 2 totally awesome grandkids, a girl and a boy.
3. I love to go tent camping, even though I haven't been in a few years.
4. I used to live on a small farm with horses, ducks, geese, chickens, dogs cats and a pot-bellied pig.  I rode
my horse in the week-long Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo trail ride, which takes place in February,      twice.  Man, was it cold, even in Texas!!!  Brrrr!  But it was a lot of fun too or I would never have gone the
second time! LOL!
5. I enjoy cooking when I have someone to cook for.  It's not that much fun cooking for myself but I do it     anyway because it's still cheaper than dining out.
6. I adore British comedies!  My favorites are As Time Goes By, Fawlty Towers and Keeping Up Appearances but I love them all.
7. I love period drama and sci-fi/ fantasy novels and films.  I used to be an avid reader but I have given it up
in favor of crafting.

Two new awards on the same day!

Much to my surprise, two of my paper crafting friends, Amber of Amber's Crafts and Stuff and Naush of Doodle Buddies gave me The Versatile Blogger Award!  Wow!  I'm so grateful and so humbled that they both find my blog deserving of such an award.  The rules for this one are that I must  thank the person who gave me the award, list 7 things about myself and pass the award on to 15 other deserving bloggers.  Because I Amber and I both received the award from Naush, I am going to take the liberty of combining the requirements of the two awards.  Otherwise, I would be here the rest of today trying to create a list of 30 bloggers to pass the award on to!

1. I am the oldest of 5 children, 3 girls and 2 boys.
2. I was born and raised in Fort Worth, TX, moved to Houston when my son was 6 weeks old and moved      back to Fort Worth 15 years ago to help care for my aging parents.
3. I was laid off of my job last August after 14 years of service and I am still looking for a new job.  :o(
4. I have been crafting since I was old enough to hold a crayon.

Fat Tuesday and a New Award!

I need to give a shout out to Rachel at Live. Laugh. Create. for selecting my humble little blog as a recipient for the Stylish Blogger Award!  What an unexpected honor!  Thanks, Rachel, for choosing me. 1. I'm a natural redhead.
2. I live in the house where I grew up.

I just received my first blog award!!!
