A Tilda Mini Album for Spring

Good Sunday morning, everyone! Easter is only a week away already and Springtime has arrived in Southeast Texas already. We have already had to cut the grass, for heaven's sake! It didn't even seem like we had a winter as I only had to turn on the heat a handful of times and, of course, there was no snow to be seen anywhere close to here.

If you recall, I am a guest designer for Marker Pop this month and today I have my second project ready for you. I made a cute mini album with several Tilda stamps and some paper towel rollers that I flattened and cut to the size of toilet paper rollers. There are 14 pages in all and each of the 7 tubes holds a tag that can be used for photos, journaling or additional embellishment.

The Tilda on the front of the mini is from a stamp I bought at Marker Pop called Tilda with Little Pocket. Isn't she a cutie? The other Tildas were stamped and sent to me by my card-making friend and colorist extraordinare, Tracy Valure, about a year ago. I used some of the ones she sent me on cards and other projects but I still had a few left over and thought this would be a great way to use them up and make something really cute while I was at it. WARNING: There are a LOT of pictures... even more than I normally post. It is a mini album after all! LOL So here we go!

Spring Eye Candy!

It was so warm today that I thought I was going to have to turn the air conditioner on!  But I'm glad I didn't because a cold front has now descended upon us and the temperature has dropped about 20 degrees in the past hour and a half.  Such is springtime in Texas!  My beautiful bearded irises have just begun to bloom so I thought I would take a short break from paper crafting and share some pictures of my garden that I took a couple of years ago.  If the irises bloom as profusely this year as they did then, I'll be out snapping pictures again in about a week.  Some varieties don't bloom every year so it's always a surprise to see which ones will put on their spectacular show for me.  I hope those of you who live in northern states will feel inspired to create and that you'll rest assured that warmth and color are on their way to you soon too.

Aren't they just gorgeous?  This is only a few of the different ones that may make an appearance this spring.  Every year when they start to show their colors, I think what a wonderful work of art they are... one of God's masterpieces as far as I'm concerned.  As always, I appreciate your popping by.  I hope you enjoyed this kaleidoscope of color.

Happy crafting,
Anniebee

Happy St. Paddy's Day and Another New Card

Good morning, ya'll!  If you have been following my blog from the beginning, you'll remember the 3 variations of cards I made using the same stamped image.  If not, you can find them here.  I stated in that post that I had colored about a dozen copies of that image after I got my Copic markers so I could experiment with all the beautiful colors and to practice my technique as I have had no training in how to use them.  Here is another variation of that same rose.  I have been building up my card stash and making items to enter into some of the cool challenges I have found all around Blogland.  I still have 2 or 3 more roses to do something with but I promise the next card will use a different image! LOL

The first 3 cards were relatively simple in design and used softer, more muted colors, whereas lately I have been using more bright and bold colors and more complicated designs.  I think my psyche was longing for springtime and so I have been leaning more toward the warm side of the spectrum.  The main colors on this card are yellow, peachy orange and pink.  The inside sentiment says "Life is Special with Friends like You".

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Little Claire's - flowers
One Stitch At A Time - glitter and gems
Cupcake Crafts Challenges - Up in the air ( my butterfly)
Stamp-n-Doodle - 2 "G" embellishments (mine are gems, glitter and garden)
Flourishes - Butterflies
Papertake Weekly Challenge - Triple Tastic (3 yellow and pink blossoms & 3 patterned paper panels)
My Grafico Crafts - anything goes
Catered Crop  - Top Chef Quick Fire (the ingredients I used were: Spring pastel colors, flower stamp, Copic markers, flower embellishments and circle shape.  The spices I added were ribbon, brads, and a butterfly).
Scrapbook Sisters - Card Challenge #27 - Spring flowers

Thanks so much for looking!
