Sixth and final entry for round 4 of the CDAC Progressive Freebies Challenge (cdacpc4)

Hello again! Thanks so much for your patience (and persistence) if you're still with me. This will be my last post for today and my final entry for round 4 of the CDAC Progressive Freebies Challenge. This is the only image we were given that is not related to Halloween. This beautiful mandala is one of my favorites and I have already colored it 3 times using a different set of colors each time. Because the patterns repeat all the way around the circle it puts me in an almost meditative state when I color it. Very relaxing. I'm only showing one of the variations because I am posting another one tomorrow for JustWordz Design Team Friday. It's funny how different this design looks with just a few changes in the color scheme or even just changing where the colors are placed.  The good thing is that they require very little of any one color of ink. If you use Copics, you know that the ink isn't cheap especially if you color as much as I do. In fact, several of my markers have run dry or are about to run dry and I can only afford the refill inks a bottle or two at a time until I find a new job. Just as a side note, I had an interview Tuesday and I'm feeling fairly positive about it. I am one of four finalists for the position and one of the finalists is an internal candidate so they probably have an advantage in that respect.  I have my fingers crossed but I'm not overly hopeful because I don't want to be hugely disappointed if I'm not hired. At any rate, all prayers and positive thoughts on my behalf are greatly appreciated!

On to the card now! Here is one version of the gorgeous mandala created by Daisy Doodles Digital Stamps. In comparison to most of the other entries using this image, I have colored mine very differently.  You'll just have to visit CDAC to see what I mean. I really like the way the other interpretations but as I am a huge fan of vivid colors, I chose a different approach.

You may have noticed that the way in which I colored some sections of the mandala, which means "circle" in Sanskrit, it has an almost 3-dimensional appearance instead of a flat 2D image. I used Imaginisce i-Rock to embellish my mandala with tiny rhinestones and green metal dots (I can't remember what they are called).  The "Celebrate" was cut on my Silhouette SD.

I imagine that if you're still here, you're about to lose interest so again, I am not going to post all of the details concerning the materials and supplies I used on these 3 cards but if you have any questions, feel free to post them in a comment and I will definitely get back to you with an answer. Thank you so much for stopping by and looking at my projects.

In addition to CDAC's Progressive Freebies Challenge, I am entering this card in the following challenges:

TBD

As I stated earlier, I'll be back tomorrow with another project for JustWordz and Saturday will be the start of a new Paper a la Mode challenge at The Outlawz.  Have a great day and until next time...

Happy crafting!
